Having a yogurt instead of an unhealthy snack option will give you an alternative that provides many healthful benefits while giving you the sweet you may be craving.

Yogurt is rich in protein, calcium, vitamin B-2, vitamin B-12, potassium, and magnesium. Protein is an important component of every cell in the body. Hair and nails are mostly made of protein and your body uses protein to build and repair tissues. You also use protein to make enzymes, hormones, and other body chemicals. Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood.

Calcium is important in building and maintaining strong teeth and bones. It promotes more fat to be burned and less fat to be stored, helping us maintain a healthy weight.
