If you fly a lot for business, you may want to consider a life insurance policy.

Do you have Wisconsin life insurance? Individuals who fly a lot, whether for business or pleasure, or for that matter frequently travel via any means, should consider purchasing a policy to ensure their families have the financial support they need in the event that you meet with misfortune. While flying on a commercial plane is said to be one of the safest ways to travel, sometimes things can go wrong.

An instance of this occurred on September 6th, 1985. A small commercial plane, operated by Midwest Express Airlines, went down less than two miles from the General Billy Mitchell Airfield. Despite the ideal weather conditions, flight 105 crashed. There were no survivors.

What caused the DC-9 to fail the 27 passengers and 4 crew members? According to the National Transportation Safety Board, as the plane reached about 450 feet in the air, the right engine’s ninth and tenth stage high pressure compressor spacers gave out. While the aircraft continued to climb, it was not long before complete control was lost by the pilot. The impact and resulting fire destroyed the plane.

While a commercial plane crash may not be an everyday occurrence, these vehicles are far from perfect. So too, are the vehicles we drive everyday – or perhaps, we should say, the drivers of those vehicles are imperfect! It’s one more reason to ensure that you have a Wisconsin life insurance policy in place. Speak to one of our experienced agents about safeguarding your family’s financial future.
